About ICP's Founder:

Rick Sagers is the founder of ICP Lightning Protection, LLC. He is an electrical engineer by education and holds BSEE and MSEE degrees in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University and the University of Texas at Arlington, respectively. He is a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is also a member of the Professional Division of the Lightning Protection Institute (LPI) and is an LPI-certified Designer/Inspector for lightning protection systems.

Prior to founding ICP, Rick was a project manager at Patriot Structures, Inc., where he served as an engineering consultant for lightning protection and electrical grounding systems. Before joining Patriot Structures, Rick held the position of Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Motorola, Inc., where he was involved in research and development of radio communications systems for nearly 30 years. He is the author of three U.S. patents and has published articles on communication technology in IEEE.

Rick serves in the local community as a member of the amateur radio team at the National Weather Service (NWS), which provides communication between NWS meteorologists and storm spotters during severe weather events.
